La Casa de Las Madres

The mission of La Casa de las Madres is to respond to calls for help from domestic violence victims, of all ages, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Provides counseling, crisis support, legal support, and shelter for victims of domestic abuse (women, children, teens).

Family and Children Services (Child Welfare)

Government agency supporting families and children in SF. Provides crisis and counseling, support, information and resources.
24 hour Hotline: (800) 856-5553 -- Phones are answered by a live person. You can also make a confidential report if you suspect a child is being abused.

The Riley Center

St. Vincent de Paul Society offers safe and confidential services for women/children in abusive relationships.

24 hour Crisis hotline: (415) 255-0165

Emergency Shelter (Rosalie House) -- 12 week, 23 bed emergency shelter for women and children, confidentially located in SF. Priority to those in immediate danger. 

Transitional Shelter (Brennan House) -- 31 bed transitional housing program. Women and their children may stay up to 15 months. Confidentially located in SF. If you are interested in transitional housing, call (415) 255-2894.

Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic

A collaborative city-wide project which helps domestic violence survivors in San Francisco get restraining orders against their abusers. The services are free and confidential. It is the main way in which women in San Francisco obtain restraining orders.
